Early Rope Bed, circa 1840- Fantastic paint decorated rope bed with a wonderful shaped headboard and footboard. It has the original rails and the dimensions are 48 inches wide by 72 inches long. At one time, the owners must have put the bed a "little too close" to the fireplace to keep warm. The part of the headboard that goes up against the wall, has a one foot diameter surface burn.
